After winning the BBC Young Sports Personality of the year awards 2013 in Sheffield at the end of last year, Amber is rightly receiving national plaudits. The 16 year old from Berkshire burst onto the scene in 2012, equaling the Ladies World Record. In 2013, after a number of encouraging results, she travelled to the World Cup of skeet Shooting in Mexico, and become the youngest ever winner of a senior gold medal when she was 15.Amber was a keen sportswoman when she was growing up, playing hockey at county level as well as playing netball and gymnastics. After joining her Granddad on a shoot, aged 10, it soon became obvious that she had a prodigious talent for the sport.Travelling all over the world to compete, Amber shoots against women who are much her senior but has certainly been holding her own, reaching a high of number 5 in the world, as well as becoming the best Skeet shooter in Great Britain. Keen to get involved in everything about the sport, Amber teamed up with Eley cartridges to design and create her own range, which are available to buy. With Rio 2016 firmly in her sights, Amber will be one of GB?s brightest hopes at the Commonwealth Games this year as she looks to cement her achievements among the worlds elite.
